NBA with DTA (Joint Venture partner Don Todd & Associates) is providing construction management and office engineering services for this 98,000 sq. ft. detention facility containing 105 sleeping rooms, with a capacity of up to 150 beds. This will be a highly programmed, full service detention facility with associated educational, program, recreational, health care, and religious and other support. This replacement project for the San Francisco Juvenile Hall is sited on a steep hillside. The site, and the need to relate to existing structures resulted in a creative design solution. The design includes a new connection between the existing detention building and the Youth Guidance Center, and improvements to overall site security.
